This photo quite required a bit of effort to produce, and I’m so glad it paid off.

Grace and Ashley spent a lot of their courting days at this spot called Ashover Rock, overlooking the glorious Peak District, so they wanted a shot of them there to add to their already large collection of memories.

Never having been there before, when they asked me about doing a quick shoot there on the way to their reception, I happily jumped as the chance, not realising how high and remote the location was.

We had to hike through empty fields and then clamber up some very steep rock ledges to reach the top. But when I saw the scene, my mind immediately thought of capturing a panoramic scene of the them over looking the Peak District, especially as the day was so beautiful and you could see for miles around.

The standing room at the peak was very limited and I could only stand a few feet behind them, which wasn't enough to get in the whole scene. So I took several photos of different parts of the scene with the plan to stitch them all together to capture what I'd visualised. In the end it took about 25 photos to get this glorious panoramic image.

I never like to take the couple away too long from their guests. So as this was a special request that meant a lot to Grace and Ashley, I happily obliged, and the whole shoot was over in less than 10 mins.
