This image is really intriguing to me.
I can’t help looking at it, wondering what is going on, what the story is behind it. Everything about the picture evokes peace, from the gentle colours of this evening light, to the two men out of focus talking in the background. Then suddenly this girl appears in a mad rush about to grab the wedding cake. The soft focus on her enhances the feeling of movement and the impulsive nature of her gesture. The timing is perfect and this contrast helps create a strong photograph.
